With COVID-19 canceling music festivals and live concerts, musicians all over the world have taken a huge financial hit from the lost ticket sales. In response, earlier this year the team in Australia and New Zealand redesigned the Levi’s® Music Relief Fund prize to support more artists in these markets — changing its focus from international touring to national projects, skills development and mental health and well-being.

Following the success of the first relief fund back in February and U.S. relief efforts aimed at supporting artists, earlier this month the team rebooted the Levi’s® Music Relief Fund. In addition to the financial support, the winners will be able to tap into provided resources, including online mental and emotional well-being workshops from The Indigo Project focused on self-development, insight and personal growth. To help them learn new skills during the ongoing COVID-19 lockdowns, BLOCKS by Blostr provided winners with a custom digital marketing workshop. Fund winners also received $4,500 to go towards their music careers, plus various career and well-being workshops — and, of course, an outfit from Levi’s®.

“Our Levi’s® community understands how hard the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the music industry, so we created the Levi’s® Music Relief Fund with the sole purpose to provide support for artists across Australia and New Zealand,” said Trent Bos, Head of Marketing at Levi’s® Australia and New Zealand.
