Each year, The Business of Fashion compiles a definitive index of those shaping the fashion industry. And for the first time, Levi Strauss & Co. President and CEO Chip Bergh has made the list.
Chip was named to the BoF 500 for being “instrumental in marrying the classic American brand’s heritage with Gen-Z consumers around the world,” according to BoF.
Chips joins hundreds of top designers, executives, editors, pioneers, models and muses from around the world. Honorees are hand-selected by BoF editors based on nominations and extensive data analysis and research.
“In 2017, Levi’s recorded its fourth consecutive year of profits, despite the dominance of athleisure and the strains of the fast-fashion schedule,” Chip’s BoF 500 bio reads. “His arrival marked an emphasis on sustainability, as well as an increased millennial and Gen-Z appeal.”
