Let’s face it, when it comes to driving business, reputation matters.
A person’s perception of a company is likely to factor into their decision to shop or recommend that product to others. That’s why we have spent the better part of the last 160-plus years building upon our great reputation with customers, employees and the communities in which we live and work. That includes our unwavering commitment to responsible business practices, standing by our values and doing the right thing, which serves as the foundation of our success. Oh yeah, and we ensure our clothes are second to none.
We’re honored to be ranked among some of “America’s Most Reputable Companies” this year. We placed 25 out of 100 companies in the annual list, as compiled by The Reputation Institute.
Scores were amassed using the institute’s measurement system, which tracks company perception in seven categories: products & services, innovation, workplace, governance, citizenship, leadership and performance.
As part of an overall upward trend among “nostalgic, classic brands,” Levi Strauss & Co. moved up to #25 with a particularly strong showing in the “workplace” category due to several quality-of-work initiatives, including increased paid parental leave and CEO Chip Bergh’s accessibility.
The institute’s findings prove that the higher the score a firm receives, the more likely its products are to be purchased or recommended. Respondents also said they would be more likely to say positive things about or even work for the top-ranked companies.
We’ve done a lot this past year to solidify our reputation as a great company to shop with and work for. From our company’s stance on climate and supporting diversity here in the U.S., to our innovative partnership with Google’s Project Jacquard and open-sourcing some of our most sustainable initiatives, we continue to push the envelope from a product and a company standpoint. Here’s to another great year ahead to build on that momentum.
