It’s Personal: Levi’s® Tailor Shops Expand Across Europe

One of the things that’s so unique about denim — and Levi’s® pieces in particular — is that they’re a blank canvas for the wearer to make their own. Levi’s® Tailor Shops, which recently have been rolled out to 108 Levi’s stores across Europe, were designed with that very desire in mind.

Grounded in the Levi’s® brand’s heritage of craftsmanship and commitment to authentic self-expression, Levi’s® Tailor Shops allow fans to unleash their inner fashion designer and put their own personal stamp on their favorite denim pieces.

“The most memorable customization I have been asked to do was a pair of patched 501® jeans to match a fully patched trucker, said Sade Taiwo, a tailor at the Intu Lakeside Shopping Centre store in Essex, U.K. “But the most popular customization is hemming. Each week, my colleague Izzy and I complete between 40 and 70 alterations. Providing an excellent service for our customers entices them to come back more often.”

The tailors working in our stores relish the opportunity to help fans stand out from the crowd in Levi’s® items new and old.

“I love being able to bring new life to an old item — I like to repair items so they can be worn again and to give them more character,” said Jeroen Bredewold, tailor at the Amsterdam store. “I’m a real denim head.”
