Get to know our new and recently promoted leaders at Levi Strauss & Co. through these Quick Qs. Meet Ngozi Eze, our new Chief Information Security Officer.
1. What did you do before joining LS&Co.?
Prior to joining LS&Co. I was the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer for the Federal Reserve System. I also held Information Security leadership roles at ADP, where I was the Chief Business Security Officer.
2. What are the biggest challenges you and your team face?
Cyber challenges are ever evolving in complexity, sophistication and persistence. One of our biggest challenges as a team is to remain vigilant and focused on foundational cyber hygiene; or, better stated, being focused on ensuring we stay sharp and committed to core cybersecurity fundamentals and controls while keeping abreast of advancing threats and technology. It’s also critical that we promote cybersecurity and defense as a team sport; not just for the Information Security team but for all employees at LS&Co.
3. What’s your personal story about LS&Co. or one of our products?
Interestingly enough, this is my second tour with LS&Co. I had the opportunity to work at a Levi’s® store in college some years ago in a mall store in Cincinnati, Ohio. It was great interacting with consumers and going to work in jeans. It was there that I witnessed the amazing brand loyalty of our consumers. I had an amazing time working there and formed great bonds with my coworkers.
