2020 Levi's Store Closures

An Update on the Business Impact of COVID-19

Marc Rosen, EVP & President, Levi Strauss Americas
Levi Strauss & Co.
March 16, 2020

At Levi Strauss & Co., the health and safety of our employees and the communities we serve are our top priority. With that in mind, we are temporarily closing all of our owned-and-operated stores in the United States and Canada, effective immediately. These stores will remain closed until March 27, at which time we will reassess this quickly evolving situation and provide an update on our plans.

All of our store employees will be paid for their scheduled hours during these closures.

These temporary closures do not affect our online and mobile operations. Our ecommerce store at levi.com will remain open for business.

Levi Strauss & Co. has always been about unity and self-expression. This is a time for us all to express solidarity with one another by doing what we can to stem the spread of the coronavirus and ensure a healthy, vibrant future for our communities. Too many lives have been lost, and many more are at risk. Please take care of yourselves and the people around you. Be kind to each other. We encourage everyone to refer to the resources provided by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Public Health Agency of Canada, and to develop a plan to protect themselves and their families.

We will continue to provide updates as the situation evolves. Levi Strauss & Co. has navigated many challenges in our 167-year history, and we will face this one as we would any other – by doing the right thing for our consumers and our employees. We will get through this together.

Thank you,

Marc Rosen, Executive Vice President & President, Levi Strauss Americas
